I usually bake mine around the holidays, but it's lovely enough to have year 'round. My favorite is original or chocolate. I've never heard of wild yeast and that sounds fascinating. I'll have to research that a bit more. As for me and this blog, I had practically forgotten about it until your comment! Briefly scrolling through it has brought back some memories. A little time capsule for sure. I'll post an update soon, but I am well and still living in Southern California! Please let me know how your bread (practically cake) turns out! ~A aonbelayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14953064753592256957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8094202216177563015.post-30731747113066375592022-01-25T11:06:28.627-08:002022-01-25T11:06:28.627-08:00Hi from Windsor Vt. Just wanted to let you know people still catch wild yeast from <br />the air and bake with it - wild yeast produces a different and much nicer flavor profile than domestic yeast will. Anyway it's been ten years since your last entry and we wondered which direction your life in California has taken! Hope to hear from you and we're planning to make your bread - Laura hopes to recreate the wonderful memory of her mom baking friendship bread when she was young!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
